Such a wonderful day for wedding photography Lains Barn with Jess and Bianca. These two beautiful souls reside in the United States and were married in deepest Oxfordshire as Jess is English born and wanted to celebrate where her folks are from.
I met both girls for bridal preparation at Steventon House Hotel. It’s a beautiful Victorian country house hotel. Lots of energy, joy on arrival and plenty of nervous anticipation of the day ahead! So great to capture the first look of each other in their elegant gowns. Shortly followed by them both posing in boots with their vintage wedding cars!
Onto the venue where everyone was ready and waiting on this cold and blustery November day. Lains Barn is unique and intimate so I’m very lucky to be a preferred supplier. So many of the couple’s girlfriends from the States attended making for a really colourful atmosphere and calming the nerves.
The scene was set for a dramatic entrance by the bridal party and a beautiful ceremony followed. Elegant readings and so much love in the room before the newlyweds exited for celebratory drinks and congratulations.
I whisked the girls away for some private moments. Luckily we all had boots as we headed for the field and the granary store. Really powerful, emotive moments shone.Jess and Bianca intertwined and became lost in the moment – quite magical to capture.
We joined the drinks reception or shall I say the “Cocktail Hour”. The party was in full swing and so easy to capture lovely candid moments as the tempo stepped up. The barn was beautifully laid out for the wedding breakfast. Soon full up with the guests and pie masters. Each table had an allocated chef to serve sumptuous cuisine including two types of amazing pie – so tasty!
I witnessed some beautiful speeches full of love and laughter covering two families life stories. Immensely consuming for the audience allowing for expansive candid photography.
Soon the party began carefully orchestrated by Dj extraordinaire Matt from Visually Sound Events. He transformed the barn into a dance arena with subtle, colourful lighting. The girls swirled to the first dance and then the night accelerated. Matt created a soundtrack that flowed perfectly and the dance floor flooded.
Such an outrageously cool day for wedding photography lains barn. Full of love, energy and fun in deepest Oxfordshire. Absolute privilege to be part of this special day.
