Another beautiful day with wedding photography at Hedsor House. It’s a venue that I cover many times as a preferred supplier. I had met Amy and Joe at a friend’s wedding and knew this would be a great fun and colourful wedding! The weather was due to dampen as the day progressed but it’s such an amazing building filled with natural light that I knew we could capture some fantastic moments.
I entered the bridal suite to find this full of beautiful Geordie girls plus a couple of the cutest flower girls you ever did see. The atmosphere was superb and of course a stunning bride having an immaculate makeover. Joe and the groomsmen were upstairs and looking slick and buoyant — love this time of day to capture that nervous energy.
The main hall began to fill as guests arrived and I immediately recognised so many familiar faces from the previous wedding I had photographed. They are a fun, young crowd so lots of laughter filled the room as the musicians played beautifully from the balcony upstairs.
Back with the girls there was a rush on to be ready. Amy hopped into the dress and what a creation; blush in colour and covered in detail and sequins. With some gentle pushing and pulling the bridesmaids did their work and this gorgeous girl was good to go radiating style and beauty. Enroute to the ceremony the bridal party descend the stairs and it’s such an important moment to capture — elegance personified.
The scene was set, the groom was waiting and so the bridal party made a long walk for wedding photography at Hedsor House. So lovely to capture this and the beautiful ceremony that followed with its intimate moments. The newlyweds exited to plenty of cheers and immediately headed out for a group shot as the rain descended. A lively and boisterous drinks reception ensued and we managed a few family shots on the front steps under the pillars as the heavens opened!
The wedding breakfast room looked immaculate and ready for the next important part of the day. As sumptuous cuisine by Caper and Berry is served and the drinks flow there is a heady atmosphere that fills the air. The guests really love this time and of course some magical speeches that dominate proceeding and captivate everyone — this makes for fun, candid and emotional image capture.
With a break in the weather the newlyweds escaped outdoors for some quite lovely intimate moments. You could feel the connection as we made good use of the wonderful grounds. With the venue bathed in suptle lighting by Class Act next up was the cake cutting and then the dance. Such a joy to capture this downstairs but also just enough time to race upstairs as it looks so dramatic from the gallery. The dance floor filled and the party began in earnest.
Really enjoyed this special day for wedding photography at Hedsor House.
