Magical day with Hannah and James in the stunning surroundings of this private house that’s the perfect Buckinghamshire wedding venue. Such a joy to be part of their special day and create the story of wedding photographs Hedsor House.
After months of endless sunshine we had a complete mix of weather with glorious sunshine plus torrential downpours. Luckily it was warm and with long daylight hours it made for a splendid day. Hannah is a local girl and probably one of the most relaxed brides I have met. So as I met her lovely, fun bridesmaids in the bridal suite the day began in earnest. Lots of fun and laughter, children racing through and the odd drink or two!
Always time to capture the groomsmen looking smart and I took care of the button holes and put a few nerves at ease. I caught up with Hannah looking stunning in a wedding dress from Ellie Sanderson – always love these getting ready shots in the magnificent bedroom. One of the most beautiful, emotional moments of the day arose when Hannah’s father Steve entered the room to see his daughter. So much love in the room and not a dry eye either – amazing to witness.
So onto the ceremony in the elegant main hall. It’s impossible not to be inspired by this majestic setting bathed in natural light from the glass dome. Hannah and Steve made the long walk downstairs and a dramatic entrance followed. So many candid, atmospheric, loving images of this special time. The newlyweds exited into the reception rooms as the heavens open briefly before the sunshine took us all outside.
We squeezed in a few family shots on the front steps before the couple shots taken in the grounds of the house. Such a spectacular backdrop for this. I also managed to capture the wedding breakfast set up in all its grandeur.
The wedding breakfast was a fun and friendly time. With mainly family and close friends this created a lively atmosphere allowing for expansive, candid photography. So many colourful characters and brilliant moments to witness during the speeches. Al always plenty of tears and cheers as everyone is consumed by the moment.
The bridesmaids really wanted some shots with Hannah so we made use of the upstairs for a mini shoot. This was brilliant to do and fun also. Finally onto cake cutting and the dance with all the guests on the floor. Cannot believe how quickly the day passed but I feel to privileged to have been part of this Marlow family wedding. Beautiful day for wedding photographs Hedsor House.
