Beautiful, alternative wedding with a majestic backdrop for an outside ceremony and Watlington wedding photography. Such a fun and carefree day
I arrived at Bonnie’s house with just enough time for some bridal preparation shots before capturing the other man in her life. The equally important Woody, a beautiful boy just awoken and ready for the big day.
Although there were enormous storm clouds waiting to burst I quickly drove up Watlington Hill to meet Dave and everyone else. A spectacular sight greeted me. In addition to a massive tipi tent for the party there were hay bails as seats for the aisle with the most amazing view looking down and across Oxfordshire!
Especially alternative was the bride’s arrival .. In a fire engine! So the long walk began as the clouds parted for this very wonderful, outside ceremony ending with cheers in the sunshine. Immediately the party began with drinks, music and the warm rays of the sun.
Next came dreamy candid shots with the many assorted family, friends and little ones. The day took on a festival feel.. spirited, refreshing and creative in equal measure. I whisked the newlyweds away for some private moments too.
Next was the informal wedding breakfast with delicious antipasti and pizza from a mobile pizza oven. A sumptuous feast with plenty of great wine and laughter.
Speeches followed and flowed effortlessly as the summer sun shone down and filled the tent. A joyous occasion to behold. Humour, love, tears and raucous laughter creating such a feel good experience until the end.
After the cake cutting it was back outside as nature painted beautiful colours on the horizon. Some zany image capture with friends and children too. Once the band started it was onto the dancing with some seriously outrageous dance moves from the lovely couple. Suddenly the floor filled as everyone joined in unison.
Finally as the sun sank the beacon was lit for an epic finale to the day itself. Definitely a most magical experience to witness. The party continued as I disappeared.
A truly epic day with Bonnie, Dave, little Woody and Watlington wedding photography. Loved my day with them.
Wow…the photographer must have been Super Man. I was there and didn’t catch all that action. Excellent!
Thanks Dave.. Much appreciated.
