A glorious spring day for a Waddesdon Dairy wedding. Just perfect for Sophie and Rob’s special day at this spectacular location.
Always a great way to start a wedding day with blue skies and warm weather. I headed to the Five Arrows Hotel In Waddeson for the bridal preparation and what fun this was. The girls from Simply Chique were doing a brilliant hair and make up transformation so the glowing bride and bridesmaids felt extra special!
Arriving early at the Dairy you really have a chance for some expansive landscape photography. It’s simply stunning with beautiful architecture and landscaping. Sophie had chosen the classical Wintergarden for the ceremony and what a masterstroke this turned out to be. I caught up with Rob and the groomsmen as they mingled with the guests, everyone just looked so relaxed and anticipating a memorable day.
Sophie and the girls arrived and quickly changed for the main event. Elegant grey for the girls and the bride just amazing in a beautiful creation. A few tears flowed when the father of the bride saw his daughter ready. I captured some lovely intimate moments with everyone including the guests as they entered the Wintergarden.
A long walk to the ceremony allowed for documentary image capture as the tension built prior to a dramatic entrance. Bathed in sunlight Sophie entered and completely wowed Rob and everyone else. Such a fabulous ceremony in intimate surroundings. Lots of laughters and the odd tear too. A joyous exit and celebratory drinks around the lake in the pavilion. We grabbed some fun and informal family shots, lots of candids of the many children and then onto the wedding breakfast.
This was such a lovely time with immaculate cuisine and the party atmosphere beginning in earnest. As the sunlight flooded in I casually captured everyone loving the moment. Beautiful and heartfelt speeches followed and laughter filled the room.
As we approached the golden hour the newlyweds and I sped off in my car to the jewel in the crown; Waddesdon Manor. This is a truly epic piece of architecture. A French Chateau set in his majestic location and we had it all to ourselves! I persuaded the bride and groom that this was a must and what a photoshoot. With a couple so in love, sun and a chateau this worked to maximum effect.
All that remained was the cake cutting and a loving first dance. As I exited the party was in full swing to sweet soul music. An amazing Waddesdon Dairy wedding.
