Fabulous day to spend with Stephanie and Alasdair at an amazing venue. A Stoke Park wedding is quite something and what a brilliant, fun day this turned out to be.
The bridal preparation took place in the quiet surroundings of Beaconsfield. With warm weather and blue skies I arrived to be greeted to a multitude of bridesmaids and the lovely bride herself. Steph has a lovely little boy and William stole the show during this light hearted time. Aided by beautiful light this allowed for candid photography. The girls all looked stunning having been treated to masterful hair and make up by Sarah Thorne.
I headed off to the church to capture some of the pre wedding moments of Alasdair and all guests. What a majestic location St Mary and All Saints Church is and a true gem. The vicar Jeremy proved very accommodating and this would allow for expansive ceremony photography.
With a slight hiccup in the travel plans the bridal party arrived in an alternative wedding vehicle but still looking equally as cool. Love those few moments before the doors open to catch the nervous energy in the air.
I captured the graceful and emotional long walk to commence proceedings followed by a ceremony with so many beautiful moments.
On exit the newlyweds were literally covered in confetti before an impromptu
photo shoot. We sped off to Stoke Park and with virtually clear blue sky managed to locate a golf buggy or two to make use of the time capturing some intimate private moments. As the black clouds gathered just enough time for some family shots on the beautiful terrace before the heavens opened.
Once inside the guests began to get into the party mood as we made our way into the wedding breakfast. This is such a great time for photography and recording the true spirit of the wedding event. The speeches were brilliant. Just long enough with lots of great humour and real emotion that captivated and enthralled the audience.
Lastly onto cake cutting and the all important first dance. Very cooly executed before the floor flooded for the drama of a ceilidh – always a wild time.
Magic day for a Stoke Park wedding.
