Amazingly beautiful sun drenched day for Natalie and Alec’s special day. It felt like early summer for photography Kings Chapel wedding.
Such a sunny day that you could feel the warmth in the car enroute to Ruislip for bridal preparation. A very relaxed and fun atmosphere with Natalie and the girls making for informal photography coverage. Emotional scenes as the bride to be made her way downstairs to be greeted by her proud father. Magical moments.
I made a fast journey over to the historic market town of Old Amersham and the beautiful St Mary’s Church. On entrance the guests were ready including a slightly nervous Alec but very happy all the same. The bridesmaids arrived and we waited in the warm sunshine for Natalie. The stunning bride arrived ready to go greeted by the ecstatic flower girls. A majestic long walk followed with the aisle adorned in petals. Emotional, memorable moments to capture.
The ceremony started bathed in glorious light allowing for expansive wedding photography. I gently manoeuvred throughout capturing classic and quirky moments in equal measure. The newlyweds exited for a few minutes alone before heading into a confetti storm. Unbeknown to the wedding party there was a brass band waiting to burst into music and serenade everyone.
Crazy moments you had to witness and of course capture as a stream of people made their way out and along the old high street. Under azure skies this procession caused havoc with the afternoon traffic but only added to the drama of the moment. We made our way to the fabulous Kings Chapel and onto the drinks reception. This former convent school is such as amazing space with it’s enormous glass dome and friendly staff too.
Outside was the place to be for some informal family shots and some intimate moments with the couple before wedding breakfast. With the main hall beautifully decorated Natalie and Alex entered to a crescendo of noise from the band. They played their hearts out on the upstairs gallery. So many lovely, candid moments throughout. Everyone kicked back and enjoyed this beautiful setting. Heartfelt, emotional speeches that transfixed everyone allowing me the capture the magic.
Afterwards Mr and Mrs exited the building to a glow stick tunnel that was absolutely brilliant. Finally time for the dance with some subdued lighting and a packed floor.
Such a loving, fun day was had for photography Kings Chapel wedding. Loved my day with Natalie, Alec and the family.
