Beautifully stunning day deep in the countryside for this Oxfordshire barn wedding. Located on a private estate this was a truly amazing wedding day story fit for a princess such as Caitlyn.
I arrived early and met Felix who kindly gave me a guided tour. An awe inspiring blank canvas for the day ahead with endless opportunities for creating documentary photography with guaranteed clear blue skies and warmth.
Caitlyn and the girls arrived and began the bridal preparation in the main house. Such a dramatic location for atmospheric image capture. The groom and groomsmen were greeting guests in the barn as they arrived into this lovely room, filled with light, warm, flowers plus of course laughter and anticipation.
Possibly one of the greatest longs walks followed as bride and father descended the elegant stairs and through the immaculate Italian garden. The barn was packed and so the ceremony began. Singing along to “ Stand By Me” and “ Browned Eyed Girl” during the ceremony was such a brilliant moment. Bathed in brilliant light this was a joy to capture the story.
The newlyweds exited to a cascade of confetti and then off to the drinks reception by a marquee overlooking lush gardens. Such an atmosphere in the sunshine for fun, candid images.
A lovely, long wedding breakfast for the many seated guests. So alive with colour and the beautiful resonance that people create. With long tables this benefitted image capture as the drinks flowed. Some amazing moments throughout the speeches too.
As the light faded the bride and groom raced to the lake and took a boat so we could capture an epic moment of love in the moment. We used this time throughout the grounds for some intimate but fun capture.
Finally it was cake cutting and the dance back in the barn under the lights. With a 70’s inspired band the night was alive as the floor filled.
Loved my day with a beautiful couple and their party at this magical Oxfordshire barn wedding.
