A fantastic way to start 2018 with this brilliant Old Bell Hurley wedding with Ellie and Alex in the Malthouse.
The day started peacefully as I met Alex in the Oak Room. It’s a beautiful room with ornate styling and perfect for this small, intimate wedding. The girls were upstairs in one of the suites enjoying the moment and in very high spirits. So easy to capture the feeling of the bridal preparation as it flowed elegantly. Ellie made her way downstairs and made a gracious entrance to a beaming Groom.
The ceremony had all the elements a photographer looks for. Laughter, tears and all the emotion in between bathed in large amounts of natural light. The newlyweds exited into the music room for confetti, congratulations and the start of the drink reception. Plenty of candid moments and some family shots by the warming fireplace. With a dry, overcast day Ellie and Alex escaped outside for some private shots, finally glad to be alone.
The wedding breakfast was a joy to cover. The spirit of the party began to develop as I had a chance to mingle with the guests and catch fun and dynamic images as everyone relaxed into the event. The speeches were heartfelt and meaningful and consumed the gathering of family and friends. The laughter and tears flowed in equal measure.
With a nightime backdrop Mr and Mrs were only too happy to explore some alternative private moments making use of the available light sources to create some artistic thoughts. The party was is full flow inside as the guests loved the photobooth prior to the first dance with acoustic guitar. It was straight onto the dance floor for the band to get the floor rocking.
Such a great day to share with a lovely couple at this Old Bell Hurley wedding.
