Wonderful sunny day for Hedsor House wedding photography. A crisp start to the day as I drove to this stunning venue with deep blue sky to meet the lovely Jos and her family. With powerful light streaming into the bridal suite I began to capture the story of the bridal preparations. Some detail images of the elegant gown and veil plus the excitement of the build up. This was greatly aided be some little ones who were quite curious about the photographer! James and his family were also captured in fine spirits at the family home prior to heading for the church.
Our Lady Of Peace Church in Wargrave is a modern church built fifty years ago and benefits from an almost complete glass frontage. On this beautiful sunny day I arrived to find the church busy and boisterous as friends and family mingled. The Groomsnen all looking the part in tunics and kilts. Suddenly the wedding cars made their way along the road and into the driveway. Some great moments capturing the bridesmaids and of course a beaming bride and proud father. Positioned at the front of the church I captured the graceful entrance of everyone and especially how the bride and groom reacted on seeing each other at this special time. Bathed in stunning light the ceremony began and I was able to manoeuvre around the church discreetly to capture expansive ceremony photography including key candid moments throughout.
The newlyweds exited and were covered in confetti and congratulations before heading off to Hedsor House. Jos and James were greeted by a lone bagpiper at the entrance and were serenaded whilst greeting all the guests. With the sky clouding over I whisked the couple off for some private moments in the majestic gardens before a few family portraits both on the steps and inside by the fireplace. As darkness descended the scene was set for the wedding breakfast. Once again the bagpiper played his tune and Mr and Mrs entered to a wall of sound and cheer. Drinks were poured and sumptuous cuisine arrived courtesy of Caper and Berry. As the party began in earnest the image capture of one of my favourite parts of the day began. By this time most guests are consumed by the event and the party spirit starts to flow as do the drinks. The dynamics change completely and so many fun moments present themselves. Equally the speeches create a heady mix of laughter and cheers to photograph everyone.
Hedsor House wedding photography works brilliantly having a fabulous template to work with. I encouraged the newlyweds outside as the building is always lit so beautifully by Class Act and we made use of the available light for some dramatic images. Also a few images indoors to create some magical private moments. Finally onto cake cutting and the all important first dance executed perfectly before the dancefloor filled.
Another special day for Hedsor House wedding photography with Jos and James.
