What an amazing day for a Froyle Park wedding. The gods were shining with blue skies and warm weather for Eleanor and Dexter and this made for a really light hearted start to the day. I first met Eleanor when I photographed her brother’s wedding so really pleased to see so many familiar faces again.

I caught up with the girls in the suite for some bridal preparation and some stunning hair and make up from LoLo & Co. With plenty of time I met Dexter and the guys downstairs and caught a few informal shots as they paced nervously around. This seemed a good time to take them outside for some fresh air.

Soon the venue began to fill with family and friends and I raced upstairs for the final preparation. With a very excited flower girl and bridesmaids, Eleanor stepped into a stunning creation and sparkled in the sun drenched room.

I waited on the stairs to capture the drama and tension as the bride and her father made their way. What an entrance to a ceremony. This was a beautiful service and I took the opportunity for some expansive documentary photography.

We exited and the newlyweds were covered in confetti before the reception began in earnest. Lots of fun and laughter, many candid shots and the all important family shots too.

The wedding breakfast was located in a separate wing of the hotel and this worked brilliantly with plenty of natural light looking out onto the gardens. This was a fantastic affair with lots of family and their younger children loving the experience with drawing kits and face masks. As the celebratory drinks flowed this allowed for more alternative and fun images. Speeches always bring out the emotion and laughter of the wedding day in full and its such a great time too.

I managed to whisk off the lovely couple for some early evening private shots and made full use of the stunning location.

All too soon we were ready for the first dance and this was going to be extra special. It just so happens that Dexter is a bit of a dancer and arranged the routine! Brilliant showcase to end my day at this wonderful Froyle Park wedding.
