Incredible day for this Canons Brook Golf Club wedding in the sunshine. It felt more like the Mediterranean than Essex.
I arrived early to meet Sarah Jane and the girls in Waltham Abbey at the Marriott Hotel for the preparations. What a busy time we had with plenty of family dropping by to congratulate the bride including so many lovely children. This made for some interesting and fun images of everyone caught in the moment.
On arrival at Canons Brook Golf Club Sarah Jane had planned for an outside wedding which looked stunning under a clear blue sky. The bridal party arrived in plenty of time to take the long walk. It’s always such a great occasion with an outside wedding and the special atmosphere this creates. A brilliant moment when the children walked up the aisle followed by the bride and her proud father.
A wonderful, heartfelt ceremony followed followed by confetti and congratulations. As the drinks reception began the children began to play and we sought the shade for the all important family shots.
Sarah Jane’s creative skill had come to the fore and the golf club function room was transformed into a very personal and loving space for the wedding breakfast to take place. This made for a fantastic afternoon for cuisine, drinks and high jinks. The atmosphere was relaxed and this allowed for expansive candid images. By the time speeches came around it was a real party atmosphere. So many great moments with a few tears too.
I took the newlyweds off for some escapism and just waited for a few magical moments that we captured in the golden hour as the sun dipped and the light softened. Just enough time for cake cutting, a spot of dancing and then the fancy dress box!
Such a lovely day for a Canons Brook Golf Club wedding
