What a fabulous day for this eventful Bourne End wedding last Saturday. A local wedding for me so I just had to drive up the road and arrived at this stunning riverside home with a majestic marquee on the lawn looking out onto the River Thames. With a dry and bright day expected Bryony and her lovely family were in a relaxed and happy mood for the preparations. Jade from Hushabye Films was on hand to take care of the videography so all was set.
An alternative approach to the best man came in the shape of Mr Chow, a very loveable and extremely cool French Bulldog! He was loving the attention. Soon we arrived at St Michael’s Church in Beaconsfield and captured the very happy groom Jose and his family. The atmosphere was set as the guests arrived followed shortly by the bridal party. There was grand entrance by Bryony and her proud father Syd into this stunning church. A beautiful ceremony followed with Mr Chow delivering the rings.
The newlyweds exited to confetti and congratulations before we made our way to the river. Syd had his boat moored in nearby Cookham so Bryony and Jose could travel up river and made a superb entrance to the wedding venue. With canapes and champagne flowing the party began prior to amazing cuisine from Hibiscus during the wedding breakfast. Lots of laughter and a few tears during the heartfelt speeches before the biggest surprise of the day . A massive riverboat turned up and the party moved offshore for two hours with Hibiscus providing the drinks plus Riamba proving salsa and latin live music.
Suddenly the clouds darkened and it began to rain. On cue the crowd upstairs huddled around the covered area and the dancing began. Jose’s parents are Venezuelan were right in the middle and must have danced with everyone! An amazing atmosphere in the most wonderful of settings. With the sky turning golden we arrived back and the DJ was ready start the first dance surrounded by all their loved ones. Just enough time to capture a few private moments of Bryony and Jose to end this very special Bourne End wedding
