Certainly not an ordinary wedding with one closed bridge and two troublesome double decker buses to contend with. But the gods were shining on us not only with the weather but everyone got to the church on time ! What a lovely day we had benefitting from a cultural influence of English, German and French. St Peters Church is simply stunning and cool on a hot summers day. Nicky was in great spirits and arrived quite calm considering. A beautiful ceremony followed and then the newlyweds escaped to another stunning local view – Marlow Bridge. The only problem was a closed bridge and workmen laying a new tarmac road. Still not to work we managed to negotiate this and they were very accommodating ! Suffice to say we captured some memorable shots on a landmark.
Onto Lillibrooke manor, a beautiful country house with an enormous barn. The bubbly and pimms were flowing, the party games had begun and we basked in the glory on the August sun. Soon everyone was seated for a cake cutting with a French twist; a cake made of profiteroles. With a light hearted atmosphere and lengthy wedding breakfast the scene was set for fantastic candid photography capturing the joie de vivre .This escalated for the speeches and just enough time for dancing before I exited.
