What a lovely day for a Missenden Abbey wedding with beautiful blue skies and warm weather.

I arrived and took in this stunning location before meeting a very excited bride and of course some fun bridesmaids. Everyone was in a relaxed mood and we were able to catch some candid bridal preparation shots.

The garden room is quite amazing and unique for a wedding ceremony and brilliant to photograph. Many guests had already arrived and in high spirits. Soon the room was completely full with standing room only which added to the atmosphere. Colin was all set and patiently waiting so I went back upstairs and caught the girls in that moment of complete nervous energy. Slowly both bridesmaids and the bride made their way down and saw and felt everyone’s reaction. Quickly I caught Mel’s long walk and Colin’s first look.

A beautiful ceremony with such great light streaming in. Plenty of candid moments featuring the joy and laughter of this special time. As the newlyweds exited we quickly created a path for them to be showered in confetti to start the drink reception. I whisked Mel and Colin away for a few private shots and made use of the architecture and grounds.

Speeches were taken in the garden room and what a perfect location for this. It allowed for expansive candid photography with the speakers on an elevated position.

The wedding breakfast was great fun as a marquee had been set up and this created such a laid back atmosphere.

Back outside for some more private moments with the wedding couple before a few zany shots with the guests. Finally we were onto the evening starting with cake cutting before the dancing began. I have to say the band were exceptional. Hand Fulla Soul are extremely talented both musically and vocally and I left as they had the party in full swing.

Another great Missenden Abbey wedding to remember.
